'Rs 12k cr per year wasted waiting at toll plazas'

India could save up to Rs 12,000 crore every year in terms of fuel and man-hours with the switch to 100% FASTag-based toll collection on national highways from Dec 1. Live monitoring of traffic by a startup shows long waiting times at many of the 488 NH toll plazas. At 2pm on Thursday, the average waiting time was 5-10 mins at 188 plazas and 10-20 mins at 32 others.

Dia Mirza admits Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein had sexism in it

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories.
