Q3 GDP growth slows to near 7-year low of 4.7%

The country’s quarterly economic growth slowed to a near seven-year-low in the Oct-Dec period of 2019-20, dragged down by a contraction in manufacturing and electricity, as per the National Statistical Office (NSO) . The Oct-Dec GDP growth of 4.7% is the slowest in 27 quarters and slowest since the 4.3% expansion in the Jan-March quarter of 2012-13.

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories.
