US faces ongoing battles over TikTok, WeChat bans

The Donald Trump administration faces ongoing court battles after two legal setbacks in its efforts to bar US app stores from offering Chinese-owned TikTok or WeChat for download. In two separate rulings, judges have questioned the evidence that data from American users is being accessed by the Chinese government imperiling US national security that prompted the extraordinary orders by the US commerce department.

Patym parent co president and COO quits

One97 Communications (OCL), which owns brand Paytm, on Saturday said the company's president and chief operating officer (COO) Bhavesh Gupta has resigned from his position. Gupta, whose resignation comes amid a series of recent top level exits at the Noida-based fintech, will however move to an advisory role in the CEO office.
