HDFC raises home loan rates by 25 bps

The country’s largest housing finance company, HDFC, has increased its retail prime lending rate on home loans by 25 basis points (bps) from August 1, 2022. This is the fifth rate raise in two months. The lender has increased its benchmark rates by 115 bps (100 bps = 1%) this year.

Dia Mirza admits Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein had sexism in it

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories. Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein has sexism in it.” She further said how in those days, you wouldn't find too many women crew members or that a makeup artist has to be a man whereas a hairdresser will be a female. Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal join Priyadarshan's Hungama 2

The year 2020 will mark the return of Shilpa Shetty on the big screen. The actress has stayed away from the films for 13 years. After signing Sabir Khan's Nikamma , Shilpa Shetty has come on board to star in Priyadarshan's comic caper Hungama 2 . Bollywood Hungama was first to break the news that the film will be led by Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, and Shilpa Shetty.   Hungama 2 won't be a continuation of the 2010 hit but it will be a fresh storyline.
