59% of Indian carriers’ fleet are fuel-efficient, data shows

Only about 20% of the world’s current, in-service airline fleet comprises latest generation aircraft, with most of the commercial airline aircraft in use today being previous generation fuel guzzlers. But India is far ahead in the aspect of decarbonisation as 59% of its airline fleet comprises latest generation, fuel-efficient aircraft, as per data provided by European aerospace corporation, Airbus.
