India set to surpass China in need for oil as growth paths diverge

India is on the brink of surpassing China as the world's biggest driver of oil demand growth on the back of demographic factors such as population growth, which means the country is expected to maintain a reliance on fossil fuels for much longer. China's role as the engine of global oil demand growth is fading fast, highlighting the importance of India as an attractive long-term prospect for overseas producers looking to tap into the energy market.

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories.
