Japan's Nikkei hits 'bubble' era highs of 1990s

The Nikkei stock market in Japan surged on Friday, reaching a 33-year high as investors turned more optimistic about a US debt ceiling deal. The benchmark index jumped as high as 30,924.57 shortly after the open, on course for a seventh straight winning session.
