US stocks: S&P 500, Nasdaq end up as Nvidia surge leads megacap higher

The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq rose, driven by a surge in Nvidia's stock after an optimistic note from Morgan Stanley. Nvidia's shares rose by 7.1%, propelling the tech sector index up by 1.85%. Other tech stocks, such as Alphabet and Micron Technology, also increased in value. Tesla shares fell by 1.2% after the electric car manufacturer lowered prices in China.
