HCLTech beats peers, Wipro lags

HCLTech looks to be the star of the quarter ended December, outshining its IT peers with a 4.3% year-on-year revenue growth in constant currency (which discounts impact of currency fluctuations), compared to the year-ago quarter. On the other hand, Wipro's weak performance continued, with a sharp decline of 6.9% during the same period. TOI had reported on Friday that TCS's revenue in the quarter grew 1.7% year-on-year in constant currency, while that of Infosys declined by 1%.

Dia Mirza admits Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein had sexism in it

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories. Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein has sexism in it.” She further said how in those days, you wouldn't find too many women crew members or that a makeup artist has to be a man whereas a hairdresser will be a female.
