Our policies aim to attract manufacturers to India: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

On Saturday, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized that the government has crafted policies aimed at positioning India as an appealing hub for both manufacturing and services. She highlighted the objective of not only catering to the domestic market but also bolstering exports. Sitharaman's remarks came in response to a question regarding the postponement of a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and American tech mogul Elon Musk.

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories.
