New India Cooperative Bank fraud: General manager remanded in police custody until February 21

A Mumbai court has remanded Hitesh Mehta, a former general manager of New India Cooperative Bank, and Dharmesh Paun in police custody until February 21 for allegedly misappropriating Rs 122 crore. The Reserve Bank of India has taken control of the bank's board and imposed withdrawal restrictions amid ongoing investigations.

Bollywood actor Dia Mirzam, who is a model-turned-actor, made her debut in the films with the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein starring alongside R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. She witnessed major ups and downs in her career. In her latest interview, she opened up about her early days in the film industry, rampant sexism, and how things have changed over the years. Speaking to Brut India, Dia Mirza said, “People were writing, thinking and making sexist cinema, and I was a part of these stories.
